Hey all,
Just got a '06 Buddy 125. Think I got a pretty good deal but it's got quite a few miles and a little wear. Still learning the differences between the 06 and others but...
I have taken it apart and done all the fluids and adjusting and tightening and such all thanks to searches on here. Think I have it running pretty good and am grinning ear to ear while riding it around.
Just wanted to say hi and THANKS for the site to help out with all those questions that come up.
Russ ( in Utah... moving to San Diego in August)
Got it running.. now it's time to start "customizing" ie getting out the rattle can.

Awesome Russ! Sounds like you did the right thing by giving it a good going over. A new belt and rollers may be in order. You never know how many miles the current ones have on it.
What color is the Buddy? Pics would be cool.
BTW I don't think there is any difference(other than colors) of the Buddy125 in any year.

Note - the 2006 Buddy headlamp is smaller diameter and the mirrors come stock with a little shorter (sportier?) arms. The mirrors can be switched out to longer arms if your frame is too big to see around them. I kind of like the shorter arms myself. You may also be limited to some upgrades on the blinkers/tail lights as I recall if you wanted to go the LED's. Otherwise it is just as peppy as anything out there!
Welcome to the land of Buddy!

No...post 06 Buddys have a headlight that is too big!
A couple other differences. No power outlet and the trans cover doesn't have the GSC logo but says PGO.
Congrats on a nice Vintage Buddy!

trying to put up a pic. Nothing too special but I think for 700 I got a pretty good deal if it keeps running like it is. It has 12k on the odo and is a little faded here and there and I need to fix the seat but all good stuff for someone who likes projects.

Is that you, Phil?

Hey Russ, polish up those plastics and it will look like new.
