Hello all,
I want to make sure before I start taking things apart on my scooter that I won't be doing anything dumb.
Recently, I was trying to take fix my mirror and it was rusted so bad that when I went to adjust it the mirror broke off. I think all the torque we applied loosened something (I've replaced the mirror) because now when I drive the throttle part of my handle bar is so loose that I have to twist it more than usual. The throttle works fine its just the part that is connected to it moves too much. It's so bad it will move the mirror with it. Is there just a loose bolt that I need to adjust or do I need to do something else?

The throttle side mirror hole is reverse thread-but even if you knew that the mirror (or windshield bolt) will get corroded in the hole and snap off. Had it happen to me, but the assembly was never loose afterwards. The assembly itself is held on with four small phillips screws on the backside of the assembly. It is possible that one of those screws cracked the housing-meaning replacement of the assembly. You also could have snapped the set pin off (its on the mirror mount half) but I have never found just that half for sale, only the full assembly. I know a Zuma 2t back half fits from my corroded bolt drama thread. I put anti-seize on those threads now to save me future problems.
