Modern Buddy

well, I did read through some other posts about the installation of the cuppini windshield I was attempting to install on my wifes buddy today , and for some reason things just aren't adding up for me. First off, I can not understand how I am supposed to screw in the bolt through the bracket that holds the windshield and mirror stuff on the one handlebar.The bolts supplied are both right hand threads,the one handlebar is left hand threaded. Both nuts (that are supposed to go onto the mirror and on that one other piece, are both regular right hand threads, yet one mirror is left hand threaded. If I follow the halfassed diagram that came with the kit, I am short one spacer . As for which part is which, I'm not bilingual so I don't know what that spacer is called per the diagram.
I found through a past thread on here a link to an excellent set of directions for installing the thing, but with that, it appears that along with having wrong bolts, and nuts, and a missing spacer, I am also missing a couple washers as well. Also, the way that diagram shows the parts assembled is not the same as the diagram in the halfassed sketch that came in the bag of parts. So, what exactly should I have for parts, and what is the right way to have the parts installed??

Sorry your windshield kit did not arrive with all the necessary parts. Mine arrived with all parts, and I was able to figure it out from the diagram.
-I think it would be faster to get the missing parts from a local store, rather than trying to get them through the vendor.
-You may be able to use an old socket for a spacer. Any way, you could probably take your diagram to the local hardware store, show it to a store employee, and they can provide something close the missing spacer, bolts and washers. Take examples of the needed parts with you to the hardware store so that you get the correct size and threads. Riding the scooter to the hardware store would be even better so you can check for fit.
-I think you will be very happy with that windshield, once you have all the required mounting hardware.
-I would definitely fire off a letter or email to the windshield vendor and let them know you didn't receive all the needed parts.
