Hi,
Took the gf out for a spin on my Buddy 170. I just realized how horrible the design is for a 2nd passenger. My gf's feet and legs were killing her after the ride because she had to position them in an unnatural way on the poorly placed footrests. My legs kept hitting her feet too when I had to plant my feet at stops.
We borrowed a friends April 100 Scarabeo and she rode all day without any discomfort. The foot rests are almost directly below her. Other than buying the foot rest addition from Buddy (which also looks like it might not be too comfortable), are there any good hacks?
Thanks
Better foot rest for passenger on Buddy 170i

We have ridden two up on the Buddy a few times and it is not a comfortable ride for two. It's OK for short distances..but that's about it.
The additional foot rests are OK for th passenger but from my experience terrible for the driver. If you want a set shoot me a PM. I still have them around somewhere.
Believe it or not a Vespa GT is worse. Being on the back of one of those is a nightmare!
To me a Buddy is pretty much a solo scooter. This is why it is important to figure out what you want to use a scooter for and sit on them before buying.
I will say that Bocette really likes being on the back of the Blur 220i. The seating and peg position work well for her and I don't get shoved up to the front. I bought that scooter to flip but she wants to keep it now for when we want to take one smaller displacement scooter with us.

I solved that problem! .........
Two (2), count 'em, Two Buddy 170s with a Sena intercom set.
Yes. A few dollars invested, but I do want to be able to enjoy scooting with my GF. And, I already had the Sena for my motorcycle.
Having said that, have you looked at this thread?
