Modern Buddy

My buddy is 07 with 9k miles. She only gets to 28mph. I thought it was the sliders but after I got on there they were in great shape. When I was putting the cap back on I noticed a rubber tube hanging down seems like it shouldn't be there. Could this be cuasing my low speed? If so how can I fix it?

No, that is unlikely to be your problem. That tube is probably the fuel overflow. I'd guess the problem lies with your carb.

I had the same issue and my issue was caused either from the diaphragm in the top portion of the carb being unseated OR because one of my hoses was loose.

Dooglas is probably correct that the hose you're referring to is the fuel overflow hose.

Need more info! Did the scooter sit through winter? Or were you riding and lost power?

I most recently ran into this problem too. Unknowingly replaced the cap to the diaphragm when it wasn't properly sealed. Had no clue till I saw this thread. topic27908.html Immediately worked the charm on my 07 125 pushing 11k.
