NSR-Recipe advice. Stuffed cabbage.

I've never done this one. Cabbage rolls with beef/pork/rice, slathered with a tomato sweet/sour sauce.
What I really want to know are "tips" from people that have done this before know. Oh yeah, my scoot it running great. Motul.

I'm a heretic, or no, just lazy. I form the meat mixture into "porcupine balls", put them into a roaster between two layers of lightly steamed cabbage, pour the sauce over it and bake. Much less time consuming so I make it oftener than I would true halupkis. And I like cabbage, lots of cabbage! Yes, my Hungarian friends are appalled!

How do you dig the center out of the head of cabbage?

Well, with a head of lettuce, you slam it hard stem-down on the table, then yank it right out. Cabbage may work the same way.
