Hi fellow scooterers,

Sometime between 9:00 PM 7/15 and 9:00 AM 7/17 my 2014 seafoam green Buddy 50CC was stolen from the Hancock Villiage Parking lot behind the Harvard Vanguard Associates on VFW Parkway in Chestnut Hill. It has/had a Darwin fish decal on the left side below the seat. There is also a chip out of the front wheel cover and scratches on the headlight and mirrors from previously being hit by a car. VIN RFVPAP5A1E1114103.

If you happen to see anything or know anything, please call or text at 484-668-1661.

Thank you

Sorry to hear it got ripped. That sux.
It would be helpful to the rest of us who want to avoid such a fate if you include more description about how it was locked.
Did you use a Kryptonite...or what sort of lock?
What sort of chain?
Did they cut the chain, or pick the lock?
Was it chained to a post or what?

thanks.

Mine was stolen as well - South Boston

Sorry to hear about your scooter, I really hope you get it back.

My Buddy was stolen this past weekend as well. Last time I saw it was August 31st around 2 PM, the next morning (Labor Day) I found it missing around 8:30 AM.

Mine was chained o a light post with a heavy duty lock and chain (from the store I purchased the scoot at). Someone probably cut through the lock and put it in a van/truck.

They didn't leave the lock or chain behind - probably so nothing looked suspicious for neighbors to ring.

Thefts have been rampant lately, I've heard that many of them are turning up in Dorchester/Roxbury. Some punk kids creating a scooter gang using local scooters from the surrounding area.

One of the guys at the shop I bought mine from used to recover scooters, only to find his car vandalized. Since then he gave up trying to get them back.

Any chance either of you went to the cops believing that a seafoam green scooter in Southie was your stolen one? lol. I am really sorry to hear that and I seriously dread the day when this might happen to me.

I ask because last night a cop came to my house asking about my scooter and wanting to see the registration and VIN. He said that a woman was adamant that that was her scooter after coming through Southie one day and spotting it in front of my house. I assure you, the scooter is mine and has been for over three years. Cop checked it out and it turns out (no surprise) the numbers don't match and I am in fact off the hook. I really hope you find it and I am sorry to hear :(
