Here are a few shots of the Schwalbe tires we are running.

We both have the 100/90 on the front.


The Italia has the 110/80 on the rear (green wheel).

The PJ has the 130/70 on the rear (chrome wheel).

They ride great, hold well in corners, stick well in rain (fog/humid/damp/misty or pouring rain).

There were no mods to get these on. We expected to have to move something yet since the wheels are stock, the 130/70 just rounded a bit more and gave us a slightly taller ride (and more top end), which we like. The whole reasoning for the wider tire was to get a wider contact patch to help the life of the tire with a 200-pound rider. Without a wider rim, this may prove to be useless.

Have not put a ton of miles on them yet so we do not know how they will last.

Only drawback to date is when walking the bike you can feel the bigger lugs so that has to impact the ride although it must be very minimal, as neither of us has noticed it. These tires look as if they would do well in gravel or light off road use although we do not use them for that specifically. Maybe some Gymkhana is in our future!

ps: I am running 25 psi in the front and 27 psi in the rear. So far so good.

What do those tire run price-wise?
And how is the cornering?

With the 130/70 cornering is really sweet - the taller rounded top just makes this tire want to roll as far as you want yet holds the road well.

Prices (including delivery) was between $67 - $76 as I recall.

Have to shoot some better shots this weekend.

I'd love to see more and shots and hear any more info on this. I'm really interested in trying something like this.

Yes! more pics please! I put a 100/90-10 on the rear of my Psycho buddy and even though it is the same size as the front , a Maxxis that i can not find any where, it looks alot smaller. This may be a great option.....

I'd also be interested in words of advise from the community. Is there any reason this might be a bad idea?

I'm surprised the 130/70 fits so well. keep an eye out for side wall cracking, as the tire is designed for a wider rim, it may be flexing more than it should.

Are those the weatherman tires? I've been thinking of getting those in a whitewall for my BlackJack.

Weatherman tires - yes. No cracking. Better for wintry mix/rain more than summer riding, but who changes their tires every season?

I've had a Heideneau 130/70 tire on the back of my Buddy for about 6 months and I like it. It feels a little different at first but one gets used to it quickly.

I don't know if I have better traction, etc... though; I haven't noticed a ton of difference in that regard.

Looks like we will be running a Mich S1 130/70 pretty soon - to compare ride and life. Replaced my rear factory MAXXIS @ 4,100 miles.

Ok - sorry to say but with a new scoot - new tires! Will be about a week before we can get the new S1 in and mounted. Will post pics once done.

The Pamp-Jack with the 130/70 ran great with no issues. Takes corners really well as posted before. The only downside was we did not get to wear it out before we stopped riding that scoot. Looking forward to trying the S1's to see how they stick to the road yet also hold up for wear.
