Forgive me for posting this, but I just thought this was so bizarre...was this guy on drugs when he posted this, or what?

Guess he won't trade it for my collection of belly button lint of the rich and famous. Too bad. I am sure that Regis and Kathy Lee's naval lint will be highly valuable in years to come. His loss.

If they sold Rant's on CL his would be priceless, that means NO trades, NO wife swap,NO Monopoly money, NO play dough, just cold hard pricelessness.

I suppose he doesn't want my bottlecap collection either......

I've sold a few laptops on CL, and I know why he was on such a rant.

"great lapop, $300"

Will you take this taco bell coupon and an old dog for it?

No doubt, when I was selling my Rats, the offers were ridiculous. When I was already giving the damn things away.
"Would you take less than half of what your asking for one scoot for both?"
Um, no...
"I have a honda spree for trade and $200..."
Um, no...
"My eight year old needs something to ride around the yard will you take $500 for both..."
Um, no...
"I have a goat, a bail of hay, and a $100...
Um...click...
Finally somebody with some sense called, and bought both, still giving the damn things away but, I need money for a move.

I'm sure that the guy thought he was just being funny (and in a way he was), but the last thing you want to do when trying not to draw flies is lay out a lot of sh*t. Many serious buyers will probably be turned off by the prospect of dealing with a potentially hostile maniac, and many trolls will probably jump at the opportunity to "poke the bear".

From a personal perspective, however, this is the kind of seller I like to deal with: no games, no nonsense, everything spelled out from the start.

I wonder if what we're witnessing is the birth of a literary trend, The Ironically Hyperbolic Craigslist Ad.

I am having difficulty understanding the value of remote start on a scooter in the first place. The fact that he considers it a headline-worthy feature, to be mentioned again before saying anything else about it, is completely beyond me. :)

There are a gaggle of those PRCscoots that have a combination alarm/remote start. Probably a $1 component they added for marketing value. It's pretty funny, as there are one or two of those bikes that rest on the rear wheel even when on the centerstand. Just a high-idle away from a fall-over.

For scooters of this pedigree, the remote start is a medical necessity. It saves you from having to have the cylinder head surgically removed from your tush when the pot-metal bolts let go.

Considering the stats on that model ( all but 400-some) are totaled I think I'll control myself  That 400 number is definately the biggest selling point

Buy it now. Store it. When the number gets down to something like 25 sell it for twice what you paid for it.
