This was nothing more than me expressing my disagreement.
Oh, and by the way, I too have built motors. To the tune of
a 800 HP biturbo Cummins diesel. That was just one of more than I care
to count that I have built.
Never have I ever come across a 300+ mile break in period before.

One thing is made clear from this post, I now know who on here is the sarcastic ones, and who is a straight shooter.
This is actually a funny thread. For someone that has built engines in the past, I would naturally assume you would understand the concept of seating piston rings.

Actually there IS a break in period for chainsaws.
You NEVER wind a new saw out without a load on the engine.
You should learn your trade.

There is a break in period for all engines.
Drive it like you stole it works for racers who rebuild very often.
