Odd lighting electrical issues...

Post by ArgonV »

Howdy all, so the other night I installed white walls on my Stella 4t and sidecar. That was fun, but had to loosen the fender on the sidecar to get the wheel off. Now since installing the new wheel, the sidecar fender running tail light and brake light don't work, and the blinker on the same fender only comes on when I press the brakes on the Stella. I've checked the brake/running light dual filament bulb and it checks out. Both lights on the fender use a floating ground. By loosening the fender and moving it, could I have messed up the ground? I checked the wires, I did not pinch them and all of the lights on the Stella itself still run fine. Thanks for any help!

Figured it out, bad floating ground on the sidecar fender. I reground it to the Stella chassis via a wire and all is well now.
