The Vespa 150 TAP
The French Army in WW2 made a 150cc Vespa with a mounted M20 U.S.-made light anti-armour cannon on it.

hmmm, I've seen this one many times before. I think it was on american chopper when mikey had to get a bunch of scooter to a motorcycle show. I don't believe this is a real millitary vehicle, I think this is a case of wiki not being the best source for info. Can any of you vespa nuts shed some light on the truth of this one

on a small scale but then again at that time the french army was broke and after all it is the french army so they would just sooner give up then fight

The Wiki is pretty reliable on this one.
I actually own one of these. Unfortunately, it's die cast metal and only 3" long. (I'm talking about the scooter toy.)

Probably why the French Army had so much trouble in WW2.mjm1374 wrote: The French Army in WW2 made a 150cc Vespa with a mounted M20 U.S.-made light anti-armour cannon on it.

Stevie "Fat Bastard" Pharaoh from SLC came to the King Tutt Putt rally with this:
and it ended the rally like this:
oddly Stevie didn't seem too broken up about it. He had a lot of fun getting into this state (up in a tree) and really, it was put in the tree while Stevie was tying one on at the bar.

Oh my! I think I'd be a bit pissed if my scooter wound up in a tree. Especially since it looks like he has so much work put into it. Maybe this is why I avoid scooter rallies, rallies = drinking + scooter in tree. Two things that I don't much care to partake in

world war 2 ended in 1945
this scooter was made post world war 2
vespa came about in 1946 after world war 2 was over
the tap was built in the 1950s
the only combat it saw was the algerian war
1954 to 1962 was the algerian war as algeria fought and won its independence from france

I agree, and while one has a quite the punch, this model will allow you to not only shoot zombies, but get away with east.jmkjr72 wrote:but the side car mounted machine gun is a better option if you hava a passanger as you dont need to stop to reload and you can shoot at the cars to the side not just infront of you
And let's be honest, at the end of the day isn't safe and efficient zombie erradication what we all want.

As many times as this pops up, I'm starting to think that I should add it to the FAQ.

Well, it's kind of like the annual cupholder question. It comes around almost seasonally.

Yes, we do all know that. The only combat (Algeria, WW2, or Waterloo) this little piece of fuzzy thinking ever saw was a possible race to the chow line. Like the "Davy Crockett" - a US tactical nuclear weapon with a blast radius wider than it's actual range (Ah, now what would be wrong with that, you ask?). Sometimes somebody just gets a little carried away. In this case, the small ones still make a great paperweight though.jmkjr72 wrote: i will say it again

This was actually post-WWII. The French used them in Algeria, IIRC.Dooglas wrote:Probably why the French Army had so much trouble in WW2.mjm1374 wrote: The French Army in WW2 made a 150cc Vespa with a mounted M20 U.S.-made light anti-armour cannon on it.
