My Mod Buddy

Post by Wilson »

So...

It's done.

My mission to mod out my Italia has reached it's peak.
I want to share. My uncle back in Liverpool had a scooter.
I started off riding as a bit of a nod to him.
Heard stories growing up. Just recently found out my Dad
had a scooter-I had no idea!

After a few stickers..a light or two, The WHO fan club renewal,
good bit spent on postage, a few road trips, mirrors,
and a bit of welding...here you go:

Pretty good huh?
I love my scooter.

Not quite there yet..it needed something.
A little bit of "I've had enough", and "5:15"

So..I've seen the Who a few times. (Can ya tell?)
Roger Daltrey decides to do a solo tour.
Road trip. Got the VIP backstage package.
I take my younger brother. (he's the tall one-it sucks)

Yes, we are in full on Rock God mode.

Roger was so cool.
Seriously, I've met "rock stars" through work, he was really really cool.
We talked for a bit. He appreciated us coming to see him.
It was a great show. Simon, Pete's brother was on guitar.
It was like that VH1 show, telling the stories of the songs in a smaller venue.

Roger sounds great. The show was amazing, before all that
microphone swinging, guitar thrashing, and drumstick throwing....

something happened.

HE SIGNED MY SCOOTER!!!!!!

man, Roger has a really cool signature, especially for a curved surface. years of on the job training I suppose. Oh hey, a double-entendre, neat.

That is so cool! Your scooter looks great, especially with Roger's signature on it. I was such a huge fan of The Who when I was a teenager. I think me and my friends must have seen Quadrophenia at the midnight movies at least a dozen times. I'd still jump at the chance to see them live (what's left of them, anyhow). I saw them twice in the 80's and though it was past their heyday, they still put on a great show. Roger still looks great!

Wow—I somehow missed this. Awesome.

Daltrey's signature on a BUDDY! Staggeringly cool.

Did you hook the lights up to your scooter battery or did you use an extra battery? Just wondering if the draw is to strong for our scoots. Great looking scooter thanks for posting it. Dibber
