I have been looking for a couple of bands on CD or downloadable(legaly) that I can not find at all. One is "Fingerprintz" A Scotish band from late 70's early 80's ..... albums "The Very Dab" / "Distinguishing Marks" / "Beat Noir"...... Later some members then formed "The Silencers"(dont know thier music)
The other band is "The Yachts" (Another band from the 79 area) British band. Album was "SOS".
I can find some of the music on YouTube but can not find anything I can buy. (I can find some Albums but I have no turntable)
Anyone have any ideas of places to look?

Or alternately you could get something like this,
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-PS-LX300USB- ... 149&sr=8-9
and convert all your vinyl to mp3.

Next to each title, if you click "view list", you'll see that some of them come with both the LP and CD-R so you don't have to do your own ripping.
Also, Fingerprintz had a Peel session. You're probably going to have to get the vinyl and rip it.

I would be surprised if either of these bands had official CD releases.
Unless, of course, you have access to *ahem* other sources.
I have a regular turntable connected to a computer and have digitized a bunch of my odd-ball vinyl. But I still have all the vinyl. Because, you know, it's hard to part with.
