Stella goes to work

Post by Mr.FixIt »

Thanks to everyone for their repair recommendations; Stella went to work today. It's been about a month since I picked her up, so not too bad for having to order parts and figure a bunch of stuff out.

I got a couple jaw drop stares on the way in. She started, ran, and accelerated fine. The new clutch cable needed adjusting after the 8 miles to get here, so I tweaked it up over lunch break. I figure it should be fine after that.

Even the re-spray of the engine cowl went well. The dull haze buffed out to a reasonable shine with some NuFinish polish. I will probably go over the whole bike with NuFinish.

She's got some holes from the original floor pan rubber that aren't being used with the checkerplate stuff the previous owner fitted on. Should I fill those holes with something?
