My Buddy is THE GREEN HORNET after the crime-fighting TV series with Van Williams & Bruce Lee (and the scoot is green).

My p200 is STAMPY because I have to stomp on the kickstart a lot to get it to work ... Also Stampy is the name of Bart's pet elephant on the Simpsons.
I sometimes call him OL' SMOKEY.

The Hulk went through a phase during which he was grey.

"Pooka"
http: ... ki/Púca

The scooter gave me a choice: Kelpie or Pooka. Kelpies drown their passengers in the nearest body of water and I don't pack it in for weather, so...Pooka she is! Besides, I have no problem with a "Mr Toad's Wild Ride" kinda scooter. ;)

The GPz550 is Vicky, short for "Vicious". She's a Redcap that apparently likes making me bleed whenever I'm wrenching on her.

My scooter's name is Madame Cheri, because the red on the Pamplona's is cherry-colored in the sun and looking at the Buddy from a profile view, she looks so darn regal. I tend to see it as her chin is up and her chest is puffed out.

Maybe I shouldn't have named her to not be so attached, but it helped me feel a lot more comfortable on her in the early weeks!

My pinky is named Ichigo, which is Japanese for strawberry :) It's also the name of one of the main characters from the movie "Kamikaze Girls" who happens to have a pink scooter too.

I've only seen the trailer for this, but guessed you were a fan.

I guess Ichigo is a gender-neutral name in Japan…?

I named my scoot, Victoria, after a character from a book that my wife is currently working on.

My scooter was unnamed until LuAnn, a friend, kept calling it the green hornet. Everyone would refer to my buddy as green hornet...guess it stuck.

LOL! I was thinking in terms of physical stature, not speed ;-) You're right if you're basing it off speed!

I had a hard time deciding what color 170i to get. I knew I liked the green best, but really couldn't get behind the brown seat and handles. So I finally just decided to swap out the stock grips for black ones, and the stock seat for a white seat to match the stripes on the front panel.

Once I knew I was going to do this, I started trying to think of a name- I usually use color to give me a direction for names. My cars I just kind of let them name themselves... but my Buddy is special :) So, what the hell is dark green and white? I kept wondering to myself.

Sailor Pluto is green and white.

So now I had an idea, but didn't know what to do with it... up until this point I hadn't even really decided what gender my scoot was taking. I mentioned Sailor Pluto to boyfriend, and his response was "Oh god, Sailor Scoot sounds amazing"

So, Sailor Scoot she is. My vanity plate says Luna P, and I plan on getting a custom Luna Ball decal at some point ;3

その風, Sono kaze, which means "the wind"
Just like LunaP I have the green 170i its awesome fun in town. People kinda freak out that a scooter leaves them behind when the light turns green ;~).

LunaP where did you get your seat and grips, and how much were they?

My dealer did a swap deal for me, since we knew from the get go what I wanted to do- she kept my stocks and charged me less for ordering the new ones. She usually orders from Scooterworks, though, you should be able to find them on there.

My Blackjack got her name on the first day I had her. I took her out to meet a friend and ride with him (he's a Harley guy). I was wearing a T shirt with a pic of Sally from Nightmare before Xmas on it, and the song 'Sally can't dance' by Lou Reed was running thru my head as I rode to meet him...so it all fell into place.
The 09 Stella is named "Serafina" - Italian for 'burning one'..............'nuff said.

p.s. the stickers/patches for The 21 Club (for Blackjack owners and associates) are still in the works  .....alas, love and work and let's face it, riding scooters, seems to eat up all my time

Frankenelope. It was originally Penelope, but she got stolen and the thieves crashed her and my local shop said it was pretty much totaled sincenthe frame was bent beyond repair....until someone came in with an orange buddy that had a dead motor, but a nearly perfect body. Thus Penelope, which we had thought to be dead, was resurrected from the dead and became Frankenelope.

I know this one's getting old but I read through it anyway out of curiousity.

I've never been able to attach a name to an inanimate method of transportation, no matter how much I like it; nothing seems to stick.

But since my wife insisted we name our second cat Tyger (with a Y), I named our third Chyna.

And my wife is NOT OK with that, either.
