Sidecar Action

Post by glamourgirrrl »

So Scooterworks has the sidecars on sale, plus if you spend enough cash (sadly I do) they give you a deeper discount on other parts you buy... So the sidecar will be delivered to the auto body place on Friday! I'm soooo excited. I also ordered the Sito+ exhaust, Polini 177cc kit, PX200 air filter, new jets and mixers. For some added beauty a Chrome front fender protecter and new white wall tires. I think the sidecar will be lots of fun for trips to the grocery and dropping the kid off to school. Also my office isn't too far so that should be a breeze too. When I wan to lean into turns and get my speed on I'll take the Buddy. I will post pictures as soon as I can. Probably won't be done with paint for at least a week. Seriously I don't know how I'm going to wait that long!!!

didn't they have a matching color? I thought that was a huge feature of the Stella, matching sidecars. maybe it's low availability of certain colors?

The sidecar arrived early . I dropped off the touch up paint and a cowl and they are color matching and starting paint tomorrow. Pink was not available without a special order. It could have taken up to a year to get the pink one from scooterworks. So went with white and figured it would be a better match to the scooter to paint it any way.

This weekend my dad and I completed the 177cc polini cylinder kit, we re jetted and we changed the exhaust and air filter. He was also able to fix the broken gas gauge (what's the deal with them always being broken). The scooter is ready for the sidecar. FYI the power increase is amazing. With both of us on the scooter he was able to get it up to indicated 55mph in no time flat and wasn't close to being WOT.

Sure you want to lose all that power by slapping a sidecar on there? :)

First pix of the sidecar getting paint. It still needs to be cut/buffed. Drying time, plus re assembling. But I thought I'd post some in progress pix.

Sweet! Are you going to be bringing it to the Great southwest Scooter Fiesta in October? if so, I'll see you there.

that is so freekin' awesome!
I think the Stellas with side cars are the coolest looking & that looks great in pink.

you should mount a video camera on it for your first ride around town so you can make a video of every one looking at you & waving & smiling

beautiful work! - I am jealous
