locking stella centerstand?

Post by Lovelandstella »

Sorry if this has already been discussed.
but I'd like my stella to be a bit more resilient to people walking by it and just for it to be able to rock back and forth without falling off the stand. I assume people my try to sit on it while I am at work or something.

I am looking for this:
viewtopic.php?t=6523&highlight=lock+stand
but for the Stella.
Any ideas?

That pin lock looks like a great idea. A Griplock works well, if you use a sidestand. Best of all would be some sort of Tazer or cattleprod device that would deliver 50,000 volts if some unauthorized individual sat on your scooter.

wont work with the desing of the stella stand
you would have to fab something up on your own

or how about this plain and simple cheap fix leave it in gear when you shut it off
99% of people will have no idea they need to pull in a clutch to roll a scooter

I just went outside and did a comparison: The Stella doesn't roll off the stand nearly as easily as a Buddy. If you lock your steering column on the Stella, it's actually much more difficult to get on the seat in the first place. Then you have to rock it pretty hard. Seems unlikely that someone could get on and rock it off.

I was able to do it with the scoot in gear, but it took some extra effort.
