Nickie McNichols,
Thanks, but BoneGirl came up with the idea, I just put a pretty table around it. :)

xteraco,
No Buddy, No Problem! I don't have a Buddy either, and they let me stick around. So go out and find yourself a hole!

Well, I've gone out twice looking for this tag. Please tell me if this one will work. The workmen left just as I was getting there.

Bumpidity-bump-bump. Can anyone tell me if my hole in the ground passes, so I can post another tag? Please? Pretty please?

I've seen deeper holes. I've seen wider holes. But it's plenty long, and I don't see anyone complaining.

(Plus isn't it easier to get forgiveness than permission? Tag, you're it, as far as I'm concerned.)

I looked all over for a hole and found none. I found some huge pot holes, but none of them were construction related. :/

Lets have the next challenge! 8)

It's been a whole week since the hole in the ground was "filled" but no tag has been forwarded. Somebody post a new tag. Syd? Got anything?

Please accept my humble apologies. We bought a new mobile home, and it has been taking up a lot of our time. Here's our next tag:Image
As you can see, it's a real feed store. Not a pet store or a store that just sells pet food. It's a country feed store. Go for it, and maybe the best tagger win! Again, I'm sorry for being a killjoy.

Yay Nickie! Glad to have you back. Thanks for the tag. In Wisconsin we got feed mills/stores coming out of our butts, so to speak. Hopefully I can break away in the next few warm days to get a shot.

I know what you see in the pic is compost and soil, but I assure you this is a DRIVE THROUGH feed store! They sell feed for farm animals and all that. Definitely not a pet store.

For the next challenge. Your scoot and a filing cabinet. It doesn't have to be as tall as mine though. ;)

Well done, xteraco. Well done. What the hell *is* that thing?

I could catch this tag without even leaving my garage. But I don't have anything I could post tonight, I'm leaving town in the middle of the night, and that, that thing, whatever it is, deserves to be there for a little longer.

Its the worlds tallest filing cabinet! Some art project from one of the schools here in VT. Its also a memorial/burial site for our 2 guinea pigs Moteggi and Pouet. We figured they had personalities as unique and tall as the filing cabinet. Its only 2 blocks away from our apartment so it was unique AND easy to find!

btw, if you cant view the pics...

I got 1 complaint that imagehost.org (not the place I usually use) gave an error and they could not view the pic. I uploaded em to my fav host omploader, but the catch is you can only view the images if you are using Firefox, Chrome or Opera. Not IE.

sorry ya'll, took a while to come up w/something interesting that hadn't been done.

Here ya go, your scooter w/a historic mansion like this one, the Belmont Mansion. Extra points if it was owned by a robber baron.

Woo Hooo! My first tag of the season.

Here is the historic mansion, from two angles. I took a photo of the sign describing why it is historic.

I know, this one doesn't have Buddy in the photo. Buddy is behind the sign.

A bridge? I think I can manage that - expecially since the new Hunt is titled: Scooter Photo Scavenger Hunt 2010 Week 4: Bridges

Then on my way home I thought of this one:

We don't have any donation bins that I am aware of. Too many people were using them as their own personal garbage receptacles. I will see if there is one by one of the Goodwill stores. My point and shoot camera died last week also. I do have an older one I can use though.

Thanks!! You can do it!!

I was using my phone to take the plane pic. It took about 30 minutes before I realized the phone just wasn't fast enough. So, I took a video and pulled a still out of that. Meanwhile, the guys in the tower were giving me the eye the whole time. I don't think they like people capturing images at airports very much.

Good luck!

Here it is!

Image

I used the same technique. I shot some video of a plane going by and then stole a frame from the vid. Here is a link to the clip.

22mb because its 720p @ 60fps
ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/xteraco/141_0230.MOV

And for the next challenge. Your scoot with horribly unhealthy food that you intend to eat. In this case its the new Double Down from KFC.

Funny you say that. I traded the Mercedes for a Buddy (well, a Buddy and an old little Chevy pickup). But, I refuse to leave Scottsdale. I just dig it here too much!

Too late for the Tomb, I'm afraid.

In conventional Scooter Tag, all players are from one area, Arlington/DC for example.

The first player would post a picture of her scoot at the entrance to Arlington Nat'l Cemetary. The next player would post a pic of his scoot in the same spot, then post a pic of his scoot at another location, in front of the WhiteHouse, say. The third player would post a pic of their scoot in front of the White House, then post a pic of their scoot in a new location. And fun ensues!

Since we are not in one location, we have to generalize a bit. So I post a pic of my scoot under a bridge (catching gr8dog's tag), then post a pic of my scoot in front of a Donation bin. bpatrick5 gets my tag by posting a pic of his/her scoot in front of a donation bin, then posts the new tag: your scoot with a disgusting, unhealthy, unspeakable (but probably pretty tasty) meal.

So now it's up to you to match bpatrick's tag - you can use the Double-Down, or almost any meal from Burger King :chuckle:, you get the idea, then post a new pic showing your scoot with something - oh, try not to duplicate tags that have already been used, if you can. And the fun continues!

So pick up your camera, start up your scoot, and go eat!

There are way too many unhealthy foods besides ice cream. It's summer for God's sake, a staple food! 8)
