I learned from that.

I'm new here, and old. I haven't been on a scooter for 65 years. I'm going to get a Buddy when I'm able to get some work. After reading all these safety things, I thought I would share withyou what I learned when I was 13 and traveling too close behind angle parked cars. When a car is backing out, they REALLY can't see you! The lady shot back, I hit her bumper, and went over her trunk. I landed in the street unhurt, straightened the bike with a sledge hammer, but thereafter I traveled in the middle of the street where there was angle parking. That was in 1942. We didn't have driver's licences yet, and there was no state licence for scooters. Bert :D [/u]

Thanks Bert for sharing your story. It's always good to be remindered how to be safer riders. I'm sure I will think of you next time I'm passing by angled parked cars!

Let us know when you get your Buddy!
