New Prima exhaust...now Stella leans to the left....YIKES!

Post by dens7 »

We just put the new Prima Performance exhaust on my new Stella and up-jetted it too. It runs very fast...but feels a little unstable and leans to the right...the mech said it was due to the weight of the exhaust. Has anyone else had this problem ?????? :?

If you feel a noticeable lean, it's likely due to the engine position than any exhaust you have installed. I've had three different exhausts on my Stella (including my current Prima) and haven't noticed a more pronounced lean.

yup.
I noticed the same thing.

Noticed it before the pipe change but with the performance pipe it seems more obvious... Could be my imagination

The bike is heavy on the right and takes some getting use to, My wife doesn't notice it.

That would have to be one heavy exhaust! Plus, there is a bit of a right lean from the engine, so wouldn't the exhaust balance it out? Interesting dilemma to say the least. Did you take it to the place that put it on and ask them? Got any pics?

The exhaust comes out on the same (engine) side.

Put a few rocks in your left pocket (seems like the weight of the exhaust would be minor compared to you and other stuff you might take along).
