This link is "FLAGGED FOR REMOVAL!" Maybe its a bogus ad? Be careful!

I remember seeing an add for a Vespa. Guy said it was located in N. Dakota. Was stored for 20 years (supposidly) and he just pulled it out of his dad's barn.

Along with the ad were two pictures, dated a week or two before the ad was posted. Remember, the scoot was in N. Dakota and been stored for 20+ years.

Well......., funny thing the trees in the photo were Palm Trees!!!! Where in ND are there Palm trees?

Oh, the guy was supposidly in the military in Germany. The he had the scheme of how to pay for it and go pick it up.

It was all bogus. CL pulled the add. Then it showed up about a month later. Ad pulled by administrator again.

So, watch out!

Thanks, but it is legit... it's mine!

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/mcy/907134467.html

My ads get bumped every so often. I think it might be cuz I am in San Diego, but I post in L.A. and Orange County, and maybe that's frowned upon? Or, people just figure my stuff is too good to be true...? Not sure, but it is very legit. I just got back from a short ride to the Post Office on "Pinky"!

Any questions, just ask.

Scoot On!

Yeah... the problem with C/L is that a guy can get rid of his competition by getting a few of his pals to keep flagging the competitors ad. Because my ad that was just pulled was a result of people flagging it, not an administrator decision. The good thing is it allows ya to re-post in seconds and then yer ad is at the top of the heap again!

Interestingly, when i sold my 2007 Italia on C/L, i kept having my ad removed for violating posting policy. I couldn't figure out what was going on.

Like you, i though my competition was killing my ads. but there was no competition. I was the only guy selling a buddy.

Then i re-posted the ad and removed the word "Genuine" from the listing and never had another problem. Craig's list is probably set to remove things claiming to be "genuine" as most such ads likely refer to counterfeit goods. So, if you're listing a scooter on Craig's list, list it as a "Buddy Scooter" or a "Stella Scooter" not as a "Genuine Buddy Scooter" etc.

Good insight... I may try that if the problem continues. The weird part it is only happening in the Orange County market. San Diego and Los Angeles seems to be fine.

2005 Tangerine Stella on Craigslist and eBay

Post by Neducati »

I have my tangerine Stella for sale on Craigslist now (and eBay) and have not had any issues with it being flagged because of the word Genuine.

Hey Ted-

The lady who hit the reserve price is in Las Vegas and I passed along to her the names of several shippers, including the name uShip given to me by a nice woman who goes by the eBay handle dena1292.

I never made the connection but is Steady Teddy also private-punchy-airsoft?
