2T vs Auto

Post by FourLegsGood »

Got into a pretty rough accident a few weeks ago wherein a driver didn't see me and sent me flying through the air. Was wearing full protection and walked away with just a sprained shoulder but my Stella Auto was totaled. The other driver's insurance is paying to replace my scoot so now I've got to decide between getting another black Auto or a 2 stroke. The used Autos I've found are about $1k more than a 2 stroke so I'm just wondering what everyone's opinions are. I don't have experience maintaining older models but I'd be willing to learn if it is considered a superior machine.

One issue. I'm planning on moving to California in the fall (currently in Philly) and have heard it's hard to get the 2T registered there?

Thanks so much. One quick question: I know that the 4t seats can't be replaced with a 2t without modification. But if I wanted to replace a 2t seat with a 4t seat, would that work? The 2t that I'm buying has a weird pink custom seat and I'd much rather switch it to brown.

They have a brand new 2T at Philly Scooters.

I don't know the answer to that, but I do know Cheeky Seats makes great covers...

@FourLegsGood, glad you're ok. Just curious, what did you have on beyond a helmet?

I was wearing a Corazzo Tempeste Jacket and Corazzo gloves.

Is $1700 too much for a 2005 Stella 2T?

2t STELLA

That is the standard going price for a 2T Stella in good shape. Those are getting rarer and rarer.
