Came across this Stella online and they are asking $1600. Seems way too good to be true.

Doesn't list mileage or anything.

Would love to pick up something like this for my pup. How much do sidecars usually run?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I see nothing with your link. But I am on a mobile device. Can you link us to the original add with the bike for sale? Tell us about it what year how many miles at cetera

Also can't see anything. Tinypic is a pretty lousy hosting service though, tried to view your link, and it was nothing but ads, and then a redirect to more ads.

Definitely get details on the service history of the bike. 1600 is ridiculously low if the bike is in good condition. Two stroke? Four? Automatic? Sidecar with hard frame, or that one that used the rubber bands to hold you up?

Sorry about the link. I tend to have troubles posting images on here..

That is the link to the craigslist ad. I text them and they told me they are selling it for their aunt and to email her. I emailed her and this is what she said... def a scam.

Hello, this is Glenda with the 2014 Vespa PX125 Stella Scooter for sale that you are interested to buy. Transmission Automatic, Black Metallic color, Tire Size: 3.5" x 10" Interchangeable, Front Hydraulic Disc, Rear Drum Braking, Top Speed 60 mph (50-55 mph with sidecar), Engine 125cc 4-Stroke, it will come with Sidecar (10" Wheel, Rocket Style). Will let it go for $1,500 because my husband passed away 3 months ago because of a heart attack and it brings me bad memories. Along with my daughter, we decided to sell the house and moved to my sister in Logan Utah looking to start a new life. In case it gets sold I will take care of shipping. If you are a serious buyer please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you

I also just did a google search of Stella and this eBay listing came up with the exact same pictures she emailed me.

Call Carlise Scooter and see if they have any info on the bike or the owner. If it's legit, they probably sold it.

That's a nice bike. I can see why you would want it.

Just out of curiosity where is the actual seller? I didn't see a vehicle location on the Ebay ad.

The guy with the eBay ad comes up as Georgia. Oddly enough, he kinda resembles the guy in the reflection of the hubcap.

i would reply directly to the Craigslist ad... which you did. . and the seller refered you to their aunt.
Bow email the aunt and say that youll pick it up INSTEAD of her delivering it to you.
Id say, take her as far as you can WITHOUT giving uo any money in anyway shape or form.
Play along and see if you can sit on the bike and read the title and match numbers... all with the cash in YOUR pocket. I bet she ignors you once you set the rules.
That rig probally sells for 4k legitimately.

ps, is that a Pennsylvania plate on that ebay bike?

I was going to do just exactly that. Tell her I was actually in the area too and I can come by to check it out, test ride it, etc. I decided why waste time on it.

I knew as soon as she said about her husband passing away it was phony. The sad thing is people fall for this kind of stuff.

The plate isn't a PA plate.. to me it looks like a FL plate.

I would especially not pair an Auto Stella with a Cozy sidecar. Though for $1600, I might buy the combo and then sell the scooter - and then look for a P200 or a 2T Stella with a 200 engine to haul the hack.

Excuse my ignorance but what is autotragic? I'm guessing some stella's are manual?

There were 3 Stellas

The Stella
--2 Stroke 150, Manual
The Stella 4T
--4 Stroke 150, Manual
The Stella Auto
--4 Stroke 125, Auto
