Stella Automatic Sidecar Mounting Pictures

I spotted a Stella Auto hack at my local shop so I decided to snap a few pictures for group knowledge. These are attachments, so please log in to view them.

Interestingly, the cabin of the hack is mounted directly to the frame with rubber blocks instead of being suspended from the frame by rubber bands. I know this saved some weight by omitting the cradle and mounts for the bands, but I wonder if it's had an appreciable increase in the harshness of ride quality for the hack. The hack wheel is no longer a solid disc, but is slotted for extra weight savings. The addition of the shock was a good idea too.

More attachments. Looking at the mounting points specifically.

Good luck with the CVT on that guy, . Although Genuine is apparently honoring the warranty even with a hack.

VERY interesting setup!

I think I like the old-style 4t manual sidecar frame look with the rubber bands better though.

Yeah, me too. But, I am glad they decided to keep it around and redesign :)

Those giant rubber bands actually do an okay job, but boy are they a bear to replace.
