I got one of those flashers and put it in...best mod ever!!!
Even with the stock bulbs, the turn signals flash brighter and tighter, the beep is clearer and the best thing, the signal lights in the speedo flash super bright. You can even see them!

Found this as well, for those with the 2T Stellas:

Spectre, did you end up ordering only the 1 x CF12ANL-01 flasher, or the LED bulbs too?

If so, can you report back on your experience? I also have a 2T Stella that has lights so dim and pathetic, you'd think it was a 6V vintage bike. I'm interested in starting my light upgrade(s) with the flasher...

A cheaper way for Turn Signals

Post by misplacedyank »

I just changed the flasher and turn signals on my Stella with great results. Total cost on eBay was $24. I'll let everyone know if the parts fail since they are considerably cheaper. The complete install and video of before, flasher only and flasher with LED's is on my website at:

http://www.misplacedyank.com/led_lighting.html

If anyone is interested I purchased the flasher from seller "dt-autotech" for $9.99 and the LED's from "autosaver88" for $13.99, free shipping on both.

4T Auto Light flasher

Post by OCStella »

Hello Group, I have been lurking and following this discussion for several weeks now. I bought a 2013 4T Auto a few months ago and I've found the lighting to be a bit of a safety issue. I bought the scooter for my daughter and I want something to improve the lighting. The LED seems the way to go. I have all my part, and thank you for posting great descriptions, but does anyone know where the flasher is on the auto? This is really the first mod that I am attempting since buying it in April and only put 117 miles on it so far. I so have to say that I get a lot more smiles from women on the scooter than I ever did on my Harley. Sssshhhh, it also puts a smile on my face (don't tell my wife).
Thanks for the help, Rob.

The flasher unit is under the left side cowl, attached to the right hand side of the battery box. If you look at slotrod65's post from Apr 30, 2013 you will see a picture of his battery. The black square on the right side of the battery box is the flasher unit.

Good luck, the flasher and LED's are a great upgrade!

On the Auto, the battery is on the opposite side, under the fake spare.

Thanks Misplacedyank and Bigdaddy,
Yes, I've looked at the original photos from Slotrod65, but the 4stroke auto seems to be entirely different and before I just start removing panels in a hit or miss search, I was hoping someone that has done this conversion on a newer auto know where its at. Here are some photos of what I'm currently looking at with the battery and where the flasher used to be is now a rectifier. I'm thinking from the schematics the flasher is now where the horn is or in the steering column. Any help is greatly appreciated.
