2008 150 international brake light issue

Ok- first sos for help. My wife’s 2008 150 Pamplona (or Pimp-Plona as we call it), failed it’s safety inspection due to a brake light always on issue. Found the problem- left hand brake light actuator was about half way out of its socket. Tried to press in but just pops out. Maybe something on the piece itself, or in the socket where it sits? Can’t figure it out and before I buy new parts wanted to check here. When I hold it in place it works perfect and the light stays dim unless the lever is pulled. I looked at my 2008 St Tropez and it’s in tight, but I didn’t want to try to pull it out for fear of breaking a tab or something. Anyone have advice ? 1st pic- how it looks when I removed the head piece, second is pushed in, and third is the unit itself. Thanks !

You're missing the prong that's on the 6:00 position. 1. Go to your Buddy dealer and buy a new switch. It's under 10 bucks. or... 2. Clean everything the best you can with Q-tips and alcohol, load it up w/ E6000 and tape it in place. Wait 24 hours and re-assemble.

Thank you DeeDee!! I’ve been looking everywhere to see the part WITH the tab on it! I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like so I didn’t know it was missing. Thanks so much! Ordered 2 of the parts - $5 each and $10 shipping, so we’ll be back on the road soon! Thanks again! Greatly appreciated !
