Scored a winter project.

Post by DeeDee »

I just picked up this 2012 50cc with 900 miles on it for $500. It's been parked protected in a parking garage for 4 years. Gas tank looks good. It has a thick layer of dust and a dead battery. Should be a good winter project.

I just did one of these! Well, age of sit and pricewise. I found 8 grams of black tar heroin in the carb bowl. The brake caliper was seized like "the day" in a Robin Williams scholastic film.

But yeah, the fuel system is your only real worry. Drain the tank. flush the lines. Don't think you can get by with cleaning the carb without removing it. Remove it. Those jets are as clogged as my jets are the day after Turkeysgiving.

Oil!

Tires!

(Maybe belt and rollers!)

Otherwise happy ridin

Nice! Reminds me of the Pinky Buddy 50 I redid awhile back.
