What happened to Ericalm?

Post by k1dude »

I see Eric hasn't posted since Jan 5. Did I miss something? Is he OK? I'm a little worried. The search function didn't turn up anything.

Ericalm checked in here as recently as a couple weeks ago, so I don't think there's reason to fret. The most excellent Modern Buddy membership does such a great job of self-monitoring that it's rare even for a moderator to have to step in except to eject the spammers.

Some say he is working on the Mythical Genuine Cruiser.

They may or may not be correct.

Come to think of it, you never see Eric and Kim Jong-un photographed together. And North Korea just did a successful test-firing of their new submarine-based scooter. Hhhhhmmm, I wonder......

He's probably busy filming his first episodes of Top Gear since he's one of the new co-hosts.

I think that After the Scooter Cannonball he started a new forum, Modern Helix for other people who love the couch on wheels that Honda produced for so many years.

Right now there are heated discussions on how to make new parts using molds made from their vintage steeds, and how to install big bore kits made out of parts pilfered off of Showroom Forza displays.

So he's going on a scooter ride. Good to know he's alive and well. I wonder why he stopped visiting here 7 months ago?

Well, John has taken the reins. Eric is a cool scooter-cat, but John is a fine moderator. ModernBuddy is in great hands.

I remember where I was when I was told the President was shot, but as far as realizing the Haig incident or anything else political at that time, I was oblivious.

Two questions: 1.How old are you people? 2.Is it safe for you to be riding?

I'm not too sure where I was at the time, those years are a bit 'fuzzy' to me. I do however remember the 'Haig incident'
How old am I?
Old enough. (I've vague memories if the JFK assignation)
Is it safe for me to ride?
That's debatable, dependant on who you ask. (My 92 y/o mom would say no!)

1. Old enough not to give a damn.
2. Safe for me? Yeah. Everyone around me? See answer #1.

Has anyone thought to just pick up the phone and call him? (I'll bet someone out there has that ability) Or check his Facebook page.

Jess over at MV took a several month hiatus just to 'step back' and enjoy life, maybe that too is what Eric has done.

Just saying.....

Thanks for taking my jibe as light hearted, as it was meant. :)

At 43, it amazes me the amount of people that consider me old. Hell, I feel as good as I did in my 20's. (I said "feel" not perform, LOL)

I put a great deal of value on wisdom and patience, something I try to build on as time goes by. :)

Sh*t like that I can remember no problem. Where I left my keys and reading glasses big problem!

Speaking of in control at the White House...how many realize we once had both the President and Vice President in office at the same time, and neither had run for either office and hence, were never voted in by the American people?

Probably way too old. I remember hearing on the radio and asking my folks where Pearl Harbor was because the Japanese were bombing it.

That would be Ford and his VP, Nelson Rockefeller.

Nixon appointed Ford as VP after Agnew resigned, then he appointed Rockefeller after assuming the presidency following Nixon's resignation.
