What was the first sticker you put on your scooter?
My scooter isn't even here yet, and I've got a pile of accessories already on my table. Cheeky Seats paw print seat cover, Elvis helmet decal, etc. Most importantly, I've got my Marine Corps emblem sticker. The first of many, I'm sure, but the only one I'll never take off. Do you remember the first sticker you put on your scooter? Is it still there?
I thank whatever gods may be, for my unconquerable soul.

On my Stella I put magnet tape on the back of the stickers themselves so I can easily take them off if I want to. On my Buddy I just have 2 decals on the windshield one of bamboo that brings good luck in Chinese folklore and of "Mugen" from Samurai Champloo. On one of my helmets I have the "planet express delivery" symbol from "Futrurama" That a lot of people seem to like. They are still on from 4 years ago...

want to waste the sticker.

White reflective checkered flag decals from edecals.com. I put them on the front cowl of a 2007 Yamaha Vino 125 which was my first scooter purchased in the fall of 2007. They looked so good I bought a seat cover with the same checkered flag pattern from a lady who sadly no longer makes scooter seat covers. I believe her first name was Crystal. Her work was definitely first class.CityGal wrote:My scooter isn't even here yet, and I've got a pile of accessories already on my table. First one I put on my scoot was a Shure microphones sticker. My local dealer gets me GREAT deals on their gear, and while I may favor a lot of other microphones, for much of my live sound stuff they have paid the rent on more gigs for longer. So, I have to give props to them!
But, the rest of the stickers are staying isolated to the glovebox only

I have a roadrunner magnet (the bird, not the comic character) I got on a trip to AZ as a kid...I move it around as I get tired of one location...outside leg shield to inside, left to right side, where ever it's metal...on stella, that's everywhere!

First stickers went on my '87 Elite 80. It was a group of three.
The first went on the legshield, above the "frunk". I'd gotten a "BattleScooter" decal when I ordered a few pieces from them and I felt that the bike had earned the moniker. The second was the ubiquitous "Scooter Trash" decal, which went on the dummy taillamp lens, out back between the turn signal lenses. The third went on the legshield dash, just above the keyswitch. While it is a meaningful quote by Satchel Paige, it was humorously appropriate for my 80cc, 3.1hp steed: "Don't look back, something might be gaining on you."
The Riva 180 never got stickers, but it did get a St. Christopher bar badge. I owe that guy, he's saved my bacon more than once.
The P wears three. The first was a vinyl cut of some moai, which I put on the left front legshield to support the first Friki Tiki rally in Tucson. The second was a Celtic knot that my mom had gotten me from her last visit to the Emerald Isle; it's on the right front legshield, above the Vespa badge. The final decal is on the top of the glovebox, below the steering lock. It's a critical reminder for vintage riders: "Turn the gas on, dummy!"

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

I have no decals on my Stella but two on my Vespa: A ModernVespa "MV" decal and a Vespa Club of America one. I plan on sticker bombing the Helix but so far have only purchased one.
