If there's a Vespa shop near you, just ask them for a filter for an LX150.

Ask for a generic one. The vespa oem filter is $28 + tax. Although I like the filters from my genuine dealer better because they have the socket adapter on the end instead of the slot for the vespa ones.

HiFlo Filtro HF183; uses the 'dreaded' slot top, but @ $7.60 + 6% PA sales tax = $8.06 each from my dealer I figure coughing up @ $20 for the slot filter ratchet attachment isn't bad when Piaggio equivalent filters that fit the Buddy can cost near $30 each

HiFlo Catalogue

According to the HiFlo catalogue the proper filter for a PGO Ligero/Buddy 125/150 is the HF197.

I know this is an old thread but hopefully someone will find this useful.

This is the one I use and it doesn't require a special tool, just a regular wrench. I get them from www.scooterloungeonline.com even though their shipping times are quite long, almost a month.
