Modern Buddy

Hi.

New to the forum.

Lo Beam went out on my 2006 Buddy 50. Looking to change bulb but wanted to see if there were any upgrades. Looks like most are for 2007+

Any thoughts?

Sure there is a halogen upgrade...Any good motorcycle/ scooter shop should have one. It fits the 2006 buddy, and lots of Honda and Yamaha dirtbikes... Just pull the bulb and take it along with you so They will know what you need. Should be about $10....Much better than stock.

Piaa also makes one, even a bit better, but expect to pay a good bit more. But, that being said...I run the Piaa myself

Anybody know what size bulb off hand??

I don't have the scooter with me and was trying to buy the bulb before I got to the scooter!

I thought I remember reading about a HALOGEN BULB UPGRADE....

I believe its an H6M is the bulb type..they make 30/30 watt and 35/36.5 watt that I have seen . Many modern dirtbikes run these as well. So most motorcycle shops that have dirt riders in them will have the bulb in stock

Still running around with High Beams only (which is probably less bright than ANY other vehicle on the road including some bicycles)

I've never been flashed at or had anyone flip their mirror when I was behind.

So I'm tempted to just leave it...but anyone else have any ideas on what bulb to upgrade it with??
