how many clubs are in the chicago area ?

if anyone knows.. can ya'll just do a list of clubs in what area!? man.. that'a asking a lot! :)lol

only one I heard of so far is the dead buddy scooter club from OK, and the voodoo club (awesome names btw)

I wonder if there is a definitive list of clubs around the US and world?

I'd start first with your area. Find club(s) that is/are active and get in contact with them, go on rides, etc. You will find your place there and can grow as your needs to be part of more do.

Check your local scoot shop for a scoot! magazine. They usually have the clubs on the back part of the magazine. Better yet, go to your local scooter shop and ask about the clubs around.

If you do ever hit up Utah, come up to the scooter lounge in Orem and ask for the Brigham Bees. A man in a white cloak with wooden eyes and a lottery ticket will then take you to the Bees lair. You must fight Tony Danza at this point. Once you retrieve his heart, then you may ride amongst us in honor.

If anyone does find a master list, let us know. I'm in Seattle and looking for a decent club to join. As a Rattler rider though, I'm sort of the odd man out among all the Vespa and Buddy riders.

There are a lot of real small ones, which is nice. The clubs work together to do the bigger events, and small clubs and individuals plan rides almost every weekend.

Check "CHIscooterEvents" on Yahoogroups (moderated list of events) or "CHIscooterList" if you want to get more involved and meet people (and talk about bacon and gossip, there's a lot of NSR chatter on there).

i've been poking around looking for clubs in the new england area...southcoast ma, eastern ri or the cape would be better...found 2 on facebook...

scoot.net had a lot of dead links for my area...this page had a few but most were dead links as well...searching on google for the names didn't help either...

i'd rather necro a thread than create a new one on the same topic...shows that i at least searched...there are a lot more motorcycle groups around here and we all know they don't ride with scooters...i always like to check out other peoples rides and get ideas other than just poking around on forums...most of the scooter groups i see are young kids who don't take very good care of their scooters or may be stolen, or don't have enough cash to afford something reliable, or heavily modify them way too much (shiny wheels, neon lights, extended swingarm, etc.)

I've looked around in my area (kansas city) and all the clubs here seem either pretty inactive or just dead... :cry:

i tried meetup but didn't find much...i have to play around with it a little more though...not much going on during the winter and i'm not sure there are any big scooter groups in my area...the one i posted above is a new one i just found but it's in boston which is about an hour from me...that's a long scooter ride on backroads that i don't know too well just to meet up with people to go for a ride and then ride home...i'm hoping to find something closer to my area or down on the cape

does one already exist?...i didn't seem to be able to find any scooter groups on there within 100 miles of me...it only seems to be able to show you events when you search, not groups...i'm probably not using it right though

I tried to start a meetup.com group yesterday for the Nature Coast Scooter club, based in Beverly Hills, Florida, but at the final step in the signup, meetup.com wanted $9.99 per month for life, so I bailed out without completing the last step. Now they have my email address, dagnabbit.

yea screw that...def not paying for something you could do on facebook for free

Yup start your Facebook group and run with it. Yahoo also has free groups, but not too many folks are still using Yahoo.

Facebook isn't an option for me.. I dropped out of Facebook two years ago, when I realized how much they were tracking me. I think I'll just start a page or two on my web site..

i'd much rather just join something existing cause right now my time is limited...if i created a group and could only ride once in a while i'm sure it wouldn't last long...rather just join something that someone else is running so the group stays intact and doesn't depend on me
