Honda introduces a 150cc ADV scooter to the US market.
Unfortunately I was hoping for a 350+cc based on the XADV with DCT.

Some observations: It's interesting that scooter companies are broadly increasing displacements. Gone are the days of only 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc engines in the line-ups. It's about time. They're filling the long time gap between 150cc and Maxi-scooters. It appears step through scooters are disappea...

I have an electric assisted bicycle, if that counts. It blows my mind that some cities like NY are trying to band electric bikes and the Mayor himself is making sure laws are passed to suppress their use. I guess they prefer more cars on the road. NY doesn't have enough cars on their streets, I gue...

I forgot to look at what fuse was in there, but I did buy some 10 and 15 amp fuses from NAPA. Anyways, turned out the battery terminals needed a tightening. So it runs great as usual. Never just tighten the clamp. Pull them both off the terminals, clean both the posts and clamps with a terminal bru...

You might find it here if you live in MN. Too bad I'm so far away.

Do you hold it on with zip ties as shown in the pictures though? I'm imagining someone making quick work of that with a blade, then leaving the alarm to beep on the pavement as they roll off with the bike. I would just throw it into the pet carrier. Or if you need it louder, double-stick-tape it in...

I think a 300 would be a mistake. The DCT transmission adds a lot of weight. The bike will suffer accordingly. I've always wanted a X-ADV or Africa Twin in the 450 to 500 cc range. I think that's powerful enough to overcome the weight penalty of the DCT, but still won't weigh too much like the 700 o...

Good luck on your test. Properly painting a Buddy is no easy task unless you just want a sloppy rattle can job. I would suggest using Plasti Dip so you can peel it off if you don't like the color you chose. Or you could always purchase new panels in the color you like the best and swap them out. But...

There's no replacement for displacement. You need a bigger engine. I have a Buddy 125 that struggles to do 40 mph on a few of the hills around my neighborhood. And I only live at 400 feet and weigh 155 pounds. I'm 6 feet tall. Fortunately, the Buddy 125 is the same size as the Buddy 50. So I still h...

My general rule of thumb - Don't mess with your eyes. If you can get by just fine with glasses, keep doing it and don't complain. Many people have Lasik done simply for vanity. That's a very poor reason in my opinion. There are some people whose eyes are so effed up, nothing works well for them. In ...

And you can easily tell if a problem is developing - it's usually gradual and obvious. More brake problems arise from people attempting to bleed their own brakes (when it...

Small displacement Harley coming?
Harley has been working with a partner in India to release a small displacement (250 to 400) model. This concept was recently leaked.
