I switched from stock to 12g Dr. Pulley sliders. I was not impressed.

I lost both acceleration and top end. It climbed hills slower. Gas mileage increased though.

If I had a do-over, I'd try the 11g sliders or just go back to the stock rollers.

I forgot to look at what fuse was in there, but I did buy some 10 and 15 amp fuses from NAPA. Anyways, turned out the battery terminals needed a tightening. So it runs great as usual. Do you hold it on with zip ties as shown in the pictures though? I'm imagining someone making quick work of that with a blade, then leaving the alarm to beep on the pavement as they roll off with the bike. I would just throw it into the pet carrier. I think a 300 would be a mistake. The DCT transmission adds a lot of weight. The bike will suffer accordingly. I've always wanted a X-ADV or Africa Twin in the 450 to 500 cc range. I think that's powerful enough to overcome the weight penalty of the DCT, but still won't weigh too much like the 700 o...

Good luck on your test. Properly painting a Buddy is no easy task unless you just want a sloppy rattle can job. I would suggest using Plasti Dip so you can peel it off if you don't like the color you chose. Or you could always purchase new panels in the color you like the best and swap them out. But...

All motorcycles and scooters make wind noise and pressure on your chest and head when at speed. Especially when turning your head. It's just the nature of the beast. You're exposed to all that wind resistance.

You get used to it. Don't freak out.

A windscreen will help.

I think those engines are for US production only. They're liquid cooled between 500cc and 1250cc. I'm not sure the ones made in India would use the same engine. Especially since the bikes made in India are supposed to be between 250cc and 400cc.
